Brian Warr is an accomplished business and community leader and a longtime resident of Springdale. A graduate of Grant Collegiate, Brian attended Memorial University and then Holland College, graduating with a diploma in police sciences. Brian served with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary until 1987, when he returned to Springdale to manage the family business, George Warr Ltd.

Brian was the deputy mayor of Springdale from 1990 to 1994. He is the Newfoundland and Labrador representative of the Canadian Retail Hardware Association, and spent 11 years as the chairman of the board. He served as the Canadian representative of the National Retail Hardware Association from 2001 to 2003. He was a board member of the Atlantic Building Supply Dealers’ Association from 2007 to 2015, including time as chairman.

Brian has also served as the Springdale and Area Chamber of Commerce president. His family was inducted into the NL Business Hall of Fame in 2008 for the 100th anniversary of their business.

In 2015, he was elected to serve the District of Baie Verte – Green Bay in the House of Assembly. He is the current Deputy Chair of Committees. He serves as Chair of the Resource Committee and Vice-Chair of the Public Accounts Committee.
