Parliamentary Secretary to Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment
Colin Holloway has 26 years of leadership experience in government and community-based organizations, including project management, public policy, collaboration, and community economic development. A resident of Port Blandford, Colin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and English literature from Memorial University. He’s also an Accredited Partnership Broker.
During his time in the civil service, Colin facilitated public consultations on child care, primary health care, the fishery, the K–12 school system, and other key issues.
Colin is the founding member and chairperson of Habitat For Humanity Clarenville, Clarenville Area Community Youth Network, REACH Housing Board, and Neighbourhood of Friends Family Resource Centre. He has served as the treasurer for the Clarenville area SPCA and as chairperson of the Vista Board of School Trustees.
Colin has presented extensively at conferences on topics relating to rural development. He has been awarded and recognized numerous times for his extensive community involvement. In 2015 he was elected as MHA for the District of Terra Nova. He was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture, and Rural Development. During the cabinet shuffle he was newly appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment.
