Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Natural Resources

Graham Letto was born and raised in L’Anse au Clair on the Labrador coast. He attended Memorial University and moved to Labrador West in 1973, embarking on a 30-year career with the Iron Ore Company of Canada.

Graham was elected to the town council of Labrador City in 1989. He served as the mayor of Labrador City from 2001 to 2009. Graham was president of the Combined Councils of Labrador for five years. He served as a member of the board of directors of Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador for fifteen years and spent two years as MNL’s president. Graham was a member of the board of directors of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) and was inducted into the FCM Roll of Honour.

In addition to his community leadership, Graham is a life member of the Kinsmen Association of Canada and serves as a member of the Provincial Advisory Council of the Canadian Red Cross.

In 2015, he was elected to represent the District of Labrador West in the House of Assembly. He was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Service NL.
