Liberals Announce Funding for Child Care Initiative
On Monday, September 18th, the Honourable Dale Kirby, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, announced funding for the Growing Our Future Child Care Cooperative (GOFCC) project in Channel-Port aux Basques. Minister Kirby was joined at the announcement by the Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and MHA for Burgeo – La Poile.
GOFCC has been approved for funding of $305,235 through the Child Care Capacity Initiative through the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. With this funding, GOFCC will develop a new 38-space child care centre for infant, toddler and pre-school children in Channel-Port aux Basques. The new centre will be fully accessible.
