LPNL Welcomes PM Justin Trudeau + Cabinet to Newfoundland and Labrador
The Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador welcomes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his cabinet to our beautiful province.
The Prime Minister is hosting cabinet meetings this week in St. John’s.
On Monday, September 11th, Premier Ball co-organized the Come From Away Forum with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It was an amazing evening that paid tribute to 9/11. Minister Seamus O’Regan hosted a panel to discuss the musical production with Petrina Bromley, Irene Sankoff, David Hein, and Mayor of Gander Claude Elliott. The audience was also treated to a number of musical performances throughout the forum.
Sixteen years ago, the world awoke to a treacherous act of senseless violence. Quite suddenly, this province and its people were put to purpose. As part of operation Yellow Ribbon, Newfoundland and Labrador was a focal point for providing a safe haven for those who were still on aircrafts across North America. Stranded travelers from across the globe were greeted by the open arms and homes of Newfoundland and Labrador. We will always remember those who showed tremendous courage on this day, and those who tragically lost their lives.
