Patricia Hynes-Coates Biography
Patricia is known for her passion and perseverance. She is a mother, a step-parent, a devoted wife, and an advocate. Patricia has helped to advance Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Canada’s public policy initiatives to improve impaired driving laws, assist in awareness efforts and, most importantly, provide a strong voice for victims and survivors of impaired driving. Patricia has sparked real change in her leadership role as the National President of MADD Canada. Her ability to listen with empathy and compassion, supplemented with her core family values and determination, has helped bring a voice to countless people across Canada.
Patricia is a trained victim service representative with MADD Canada and has been featured in news articles showcasing her ability to emphasize the need to promote effective road safety and spark legislative change within our province and our country.
Patricia has been in a leadership role for several years and is a team player. Her drive to make change is evident. She is steadfast in her commitment to stand side by side with the RNC, the RCMP, other government officials, and advocacy groups in Canada. She has worked hard on her ability to listen, to understand the challenges that people face, and to help them find solutions.
At home, Patricia enjoys working side by side with her husband in the automotive field, participating in outdoor activities, and volunteering in her community.
