Q3. How can I contact the campaign.

Our campaign HQ is located at 1478 Topsail Road, Paradise. The phone number is 709-699-5983.

Q4. Is all of Paradise in the district of Topsail – Paradise?

This is question many people are asking and for good reason. Answer is no. The district map indicates that many of the streets off of St. Thomas Line are outside the district. Also, the portion of Paradise east of the Trans Canada Highway overpass are outside the district as well. You can use the handy Elections NL Electoral District Search. All you need to do is enter your street address and the search engine will output your district. Visit – https://www.elections.gov.nl.ca/elections/Voters/index.html.

Q5. I’m not going to be in the district on election day. Can I still vote?

Not to worry, there are two convenient ways you can vote early.

The first is by special ballot. Special ballot voting was brought in to allow people to vote who will be unable to vote on election day (being out of town or some other reason). This is important way to vote that not everyone is aware of! If you are able to get to the Election NL returning office in the Karwood Pass Plaza (1429-E Topsail Road) you can vote any day of the week. All you need is a piece of ID, like a driver’s license, to prove your identity and that you live in the district. The office is open:
– Monday-Tuesday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
– Wednesday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
– Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and
Sunday 1 to 4 p.m.
NOTE: The last day to apply for a special ballot is January 19, 2019 and January 21, 2019 is the last day Elections NL can receive your special ballot.

If you are unable to visit the return office yourself, please contact the campaign and we will arrange someone to visit you at your residence and help you complete your special ballot. Call 699-5983 or email PHCliberal@gmail.com.

The second way to vote early is at one of the advance polls. The advance poll days are Thursday January 17 and Saturday January 19. You can vote at either:
– Lodge Conception, 2639 Topsail Road, Chamberlains, or
– Octagon Pond Elementary, 11 Sgt Donald Lucas Drive.

Q6. Where can I vote on election day?

Your voting location will be determined by where you live and the poll you are in. Normally you will vote at the polling station that is closest to your residential address. When locations have been determined Elections NL will post them on their website. You can always call during the final week of the campaign (Jan. 17-24) to see if Elections NL has announced the locations. Phone 699-5983.
