Minister of Transportation and Works

Minister Steve Crocker was elected to the House of Assembly in November 2014, when he took the by-election in Trinity – Bay de Verde by a margin of over 1700 votes. In Opposition, Minister Crocker served as the critic for business and rural development, including the Research & Development Corporation. After being re-elected in 2015, he was appointed to Cabinet to serve as the Minister of Fisheries and Land Resources.

Since becoming a Member, Minister Crocker has been a tireless advocate for the people of Trinity – Bay de Verde, working hard to bring attention to critical infrastructure needs for the district. Prior to his election, he served as executive assistant to Premier Dwight Ball, then the leader of the Official Opposition and the Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador.

For more than 20 years, Minister Crocker worked as an entrepreneur at his family’s business in the district of Carbonear – Trinity – Bay de Verde. He resides in Heart’s Delight-Islington with his wife Nadine and their two sons, Benjamin and Alexander.
