Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador (LPNL) Announces the Call for Nominations for Leadership Candidates
The NL Liberal Leadership Election Special Committee (NLEC), is pleased to announce that the Call for Nominations for Leadership Candidates for the LPNL’s Leadership Election is now open. Nominations shall remain open until March 24, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. (NST). The LPNL Leadership Convention will take place May 2-3, 2025 in St. John’s at which time we look forward to announcing the next Leader of the LPNL on May 3, 2025. Details of the Convention Agenda shall be released in due course.
The LPNL Leadership Election and Convention shall be overseen by the NLEC which has been approved by the Executive Board of the LPNL. The members of the Committee are Judy Morrow (Chair), Ashley Power-Stack, John Allan, Anna Wadden, and Michael King.
The Rules Governing the 2025 Leadership Convention can be found on the Party’s website or by contacting the LPNL office.
Any potential candidates can contact the LPNL office to receive a copy of the Leadership Candidate Nomination Form.
To be eligible to vote in the 2025 LPNL Leadership Election, you must be signed up as a Registered Liberal between January 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025 at 11:59 P.M. (NST) and meet all the criteria as outlined in the Rules under the definition of Registered Liberal.
