Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador Standing Committees
The Liberal Party of Newfoundland and Labrador is inviting interested individuals to put their names forward to serve on the Party’s Standing Committees.
This is an opportunity to get involved, contribute your experience and ideas, and help support the ongoing work of the Party.
Expressions of interest are being accepted for the following committees:
Constitution and Legal Affairs
Supports the sound operation of the Party through the review of by-laws, resolutions, constitutional amendments, rules, and other legal documents. The Committee also helps members better understand the Party’s Constitution and By-Laws.
Policy and Research
Helps shape the Party’s policy positions through consultation with members and collaboration with the Leader and Executive Board. The Committee brings together perspectives from across the Party to help inform policy development.
Finance and Fundraising
Supports the Party in matters related to finance and fundraising and works with Party leadership to help advance the Party’s financial and fundraising objectives.
Communications and Public Relations
Helps strengthen how the Party communicates and connects with members and the public. This includes supporting communications planning, reviewing social media best practices, strengthening the Party’s online presence, and identifying opportunities to engage Registered Liberals throughout the year.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Works to encourage participation from diverse cultural communities and ensure their perspectives are reflected in Party decisions and policies. The Committee also promotes greater engagement and brings issues of importance to these communities forward to the Executive Board.
