Bernard Davis, Virginia Waters – Pleasantville
Bernard Davis is a long-time community advocate and former Executive director and program coordinator of the Church Lad’s Brigade.
A graduate of Brother Rice High School and later completing the Bachelor of Commerce program at Memorial University, Bernie stayed focused on the road ahead in community matters and how he could make a difference. In 2013, he took his place as a St. John’s City Councillor.
Bernie has always considered St. John’s and Newfoundland and Labrador his priority, and his activities have revolved around school, sport, municipal issues, and volunteer organizations. As a coach, Bernie has been to the national level with the St. John’s Junior Capitals and led the Feildians Senior Baseball Team. He has served as Community representative on the Roncalli Elementary School Council and Secretary on the MacMorran Community Centre Board of Directors. Bernie was chair of the Newfoundland & Labrador Volunteer Week Committee as well as Commissioner with the St. John’s Transportation Commission. One thing that remains a constant, Bernie and his spouse Sebrina, share a genuine passion for their neighborhood.
