Perry Trimper

Perry Trimper (B.Sc. Foresty/Wildlife Management) worked for 30 years in resource development and ecology in Labrador, the Canadian Arctic, and Russia for government, industry, and international agencies.

Long-involved with the environmental industry and economic development, Mr. Trimper was elected as MHA of Lake Melville in 2015, 2019 and 2021. He served in Cabinet responsible for Environment, Climate Change, Service NL, Municipal Affairs, Labour Relations and Francophone Affairs; and was the 44th Speaker of the Legislature. He served as Parliamentary Secretary for Finance and Education, and Special Advisor to the Premier on Climate Change. Mr Trimper resides in Happy Valley-Goose Bay with his wife Caroline Hong.
