Message from the President
Dear fellow Liberals of Newfoundland and Labrador:
It is my pleasure to issue the formal call for our Biennial General Meeting (BGM) & Convention, which will take place in person on June 13th and 14th in Gander. In 2025, we as Liberals, will have many opportunities to vote as all three levels of government hold an electoral process. Of utmost importance, Registered Liberals across Newfoundland and Labrador will have had the opportunity to vote for our new Leader and the 15th Premier of our Province.
Further in 2025, we celebrate women and voters in recognizing the 100th Anniversary of the Women’s right to vote in Newfoundland and Labrador. Perhaps more than ever, this year requires a deep commitment to Liberal values, protecting democracy, and voting for the future of Newfoundland and Labrador.
As Party President, I want to thank each one of you for your unwavering dedication and support. I also want to thank all past and current members of the Executive Board with whom I have had the pleasure and honour of working with over the past number of years. The Board is comprised of a team of volunteers from across the Province who provide oversight and guidance to the Party in organizational, financial, and strategic matters. As a group of volunteers, the Board is dedicated to advancement of the Province and building a prosperous future day by day and vote by vote.
I wish to thank Premier Furey who has been instrumental in engaging with members of the Party, District Presidents, and the Board since being elected Leader in August 2020. Premier, thank you for your service to our beautiful province and for showing us all that we need to aim high and persevere with compassion and conviction.
To our members of the Liberal caucus: thank you for your hard work and dedication in governing and representing our Province. It is an honour to work with you all. I look forward to welcoming and meeting with all delegates, members and supporters and to thank you personally for the many ways in which you build and strengthen our Liberal Party. Your dedication and support is deeply appreciated.
